Alison Pill
Pill started out in Canadian films, but did not take long to break through to market share in the American market. Bruce Gray starred on an episode in the Canadian show Traders. Pill had the opportunity to land a spot on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation starring Wallace Langham and Liz Vassey in "Would If, Maybe, But Shoulda" co-written by Naren Shankar. The episode also starred Michael Ensign and Michael G. Hagerty. Pill did work on Picard for about a year then appeared as a supporting role in Devs, a science fiction mini-series made for FX Productions and Hulu. Pill played the same character, Katie, in each episode just as the character in Picard. It was apparent that the similarities to Picard did not end there as the major theme of Devs was identified to be the preservation of consciousness in an artificial construct, comparable to the one Data could be preserved during the revelation earlier that year in the Picard season 1 finale "Et in Arcadia Ego Part 2".
