Kellie Martin is an American actor and actress on television and film. She is most well-known for her performances as Christy Huddleston in the period drama series 'Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on' and Lucy Knight in the medical drama series "ER". Her other notable roles include appearing in the titular role in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin started her acting career when she was just seven. She was a niece of her aunt who worked as the nanny of Michael Landon's kids, assisted her in landing an unimportant role in the television series Father Murphy. After she graduated from Yale University in 1982, Martin decided to pursue her acting career more seriously. Her roles were significant in television and big screens. Martin as well as being an accomplished dancer and actress, is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Martin's sister, who died due to Lupus at the age of 19, inspired her to become the Lupus the national spokesperson.
